Is online counseling or therapy really effective? As part of clinicus digital, various digital treatment and consultation rooms are provided, the effectiveness and efficiency of which depend, among other things, on an optimal fit between you and your consultant or therapist. Depending on which subject areas and goals you bring with you, the qualifications of the therapists can also play a role. In order for you to really see positive results in your life, it is also crucial to what extent you try out and implement ideas and possible solutions developed together. In principle, most mental health problems can also be treated online. In the case of acute suicidality, pronounced self-harming behavior and acute psychoses, for example, a psychotherapist or psychiatrist or the emergency room at the local hospital should always be consulted.

How can my treatment be successful? The success of the treatment depends, among other things, on the fit between the client and the therapist. This is why the first phase is also considered a kind of "getting to know each other phase". Here, both you as the client and the therapist can decide whether to continue working together. The success of your treatment is very important to us, which is why this getting to know each other phase is also of crucial importance. If, for certain reasons, the treatment should not be continued, you can also change the therapist. Depending on how far the first phase progressed, the work that has been done will be passed on to the new therapist so that the following sessions continue as seamlessly as possible.
-
How long takes a session?A session lasts 50 minutes, both for psychotherapy and psychological counseling.
-
What happens after the first session? At the end of the first session, your therapist will arrange further appointments with you if you wish. As soon as these are entered by the therapist, you will receive the emails for the follow-up appointments with the link to the online video consultation. Basically, the treatment consists of three phases: Phase: Where are you right now and where do you want to go? This phase lasts for around 4 sessions. Here, your counselor or therapist will work with you to find out where these difficulties in your life come from. Building on this, the equally important question is where you want to go. What is your goal? Phase: How do we achieve the goal? The duration of this phase cannot be determined in advance and depends on the individual need for advice or therapy. Basically, in this phase we find out what will help you personally to achieve your goal. Phase: Slowly tapering off treatment You have learned psychological strategies that have helped you to overcome your difficulties. You now need significantly less psychological support because the original problem is hardly present anymore.
